This was SO MUCH FUN! I started it this spring, I got sidetracked from making a quilt backing one Sunday. I had 2 big shoeboxes full of scraps from 2 or 3 quilts I'd just recently made, so I jumped in and started making crumb blocks. I ended up with 42 8 inch blocks, each one was like a mini memory quilt because of the scraps from other projects. When I finally got around to quilting it I decided to treat each block as a mini quilt again. I had a ball quilting each block with it's own design, some with thread painting and words to describe it. I improv pieced the words in the borders, that was fun to do too. All in all this was one entertaining quilting project!

I think your quilt should win the award of the "best crumb quilt of the year". Such an interesting and fun quilt right down to the quilting! Crumb quilts are not my favorite style, but yours is eye candy.

I have enjoyed all your quilts that I have seen on this board. The asterisk is on my bucket list and the crumb finally made it.

Most beautiful crumb quilt I've seen! Love scrappies, but like them orderly.

What a fun quilt and I love how you have done the different quilting motifs throughout. What a keepsake.

The blocks didn't take long because that's my favorite thing to do, piece blocks! maybe a week or so, but then it turned into a fairly long term wip, I finished it up a couple of weeks ago, started it in April.

What a trip down memory lane for you. Love the fact that you pieced and quilted each block as a mini-quilt. Your quilting is fabulous, by the way.
