I vote for the black sashing also. A very dark navy would work also.

thanks for all of the suggestions. It will mellow for a week or two. I am going Sunday to a Geogia Bonesteel class in NC for a hole week!!! just to quilt. I am also torn between the black and the gold or bright yellow for the sashing. I got the picture to post by resizing in my camera down one size. I had too many mega bites (2.08) and the board only wants 1.91. so, some older pics wont get posted. but new ones will. happy quilting to everyone.
