Default Rolling Stars - my second quilt

The pattern is rolling stars by Whistlepeg and the fabric is Moda's Kansas Troubles Cattails. It used a jelly roll and a charm pack and a bit more....I used flannel on the back of it. I need to work on the quilting part of the project a bit more....that was a challenge for me....

That is so pretty. And the quilting improves with time, and I would guess that yours is just beautiful. Sometimes we are our own worst critics. Be easy on yourself, and keep up the good work.

Your quilt is beautiful, as is the photography! I know that I still find quilting challenging and that if I was more consistant at practicing it would be much better. My goal for this year is to really work on free-motion quilting both on my DMS and on the LA that I rent at my LQS.

Lea Day is starting a Free Motion Quilt Along on her blog. I watched the first installment (stippling) and her teaching method looks great. Anyone who is interested should be able to find the info here: http://www.freemotionquilting.blogspot.com/. I enjoyed following along with some of her posts in the Free Motion Quilting Project that she did last year.

That's a lovely quilt. And I'll bet the flannel makes it just as cozy as it looks. Great job!
