    I have made a couple of nine patch quilts for friends baby showers. so when a good friend found out she was pregnant she asked if she would get one. Her husband relocated and she had to move out of state and is having a rough time, so I wanted to make it special. Her only perimeters were pink and brown.

    This is my first disappearing 9 that I have tried, and my first attempt at FMQ, the others were tied.

    I also made her a fleece tie blanket, and other friends are working on projects, that we will ship together, and then skype her with a virtual baby shower. I hope she likes it.
