Cute Giraffe Baby Quilt Finished.
Thank you Bonnie Sneed! for your idea for this quilt as well as the helps you posted. I love it, and it was a fun project. Thanks board members for the helps and pointers working with flannel; it turned out well, giraffe body, head, binding and backing is flannel. I machine quilted most of it, did hand quilt around the whole of the giraffe as couldn't get a good machine stitch around the corners and close to his puffy face and ears. I made the ears a bit "3 dimensional on purpose". Also hand quilted my hand and spider web in. Made a receiving blanket and burp rag from remaining materials. Thanks for looking and especially thanks for your help when I need it! Oh and there is also flannel around the squares.

That is just too cute for words. I love the expression on the giraffe's face which looks like you also hand quilted that too (his mouth, nostrils, etc.). The yarn forelock is a great touch.
Where did you ever find a flannel print that looks like giraffe? And that baby animal print is perfect. Love how you fussy cut out animals to go in the border. All the details you put in this quilt make it extra special.
