LOL... luckily I am 26yrs old so it takes an hour or two for my back to start hurting. I just cannot stand to sit around when I have so much material. LOL. My ironing board is a folded towel I place on the floor. Funny thing, I did sew my quilting bee block on the floor, I had to get it done before the end of the month... which is what made me think, if I can do this for on block I most certainly can do it for a couple. Although, I will be yard selling for a desk or table. And please send all those prayers for my back this way! LOL. I knew only other quilters would get a kick out of this! :-D

I do all my cutting on the floor. Not able to stand for any length of time & while sitting I do not get enough leverage while cutting. It is not easy, but better than not being able to cut at all. We do what we gotta do!

At the ripe old age of 26, I felt anything was doable, and all my cutting was done on the floor. And I sewed all the time!! When cleaning, it was faster to walk on my knees to the next spot, same with weeding the flower beds. Now at the really ripe old age of 72( tomorrow) I am paying for it. Do take care of those joints now!!

I used to get down on my hands and knees to mop and wax my floors too. I don't make those silly mistakes anymore.

Before I got a drop leaf cutting table, used my kitchen counter. Now the cutting table is used in Mom's room so i use the kitchne table...little low but a little better than then floor. I can get down to the floor but getting up is the hard part.

Oh! That is called true love for quilting in my book! When you finish that quilt it will have alot of love:)
