Default My first free motion quilting

I'm so excited to have done my first free motion quilting on an actual quilt! I did random heart-shaped leaves on a vine connecting thread. I took these photos but don't know how to get the quilting to show up very well. I hope you can see some of it. I am delighted with how well it came out!!!

My quilt backs are always fleece or flannel, they need to be soft and cozy for comfort quilts. Thank you, .

That turned out great. My first try at FMQ was not near as nice.

Good job, you'd never know it was your first time FMQing a quilt.

You did great. Isn't it fun when it turns out the way you had hoped? Looking forward to your second, third etc.

Linda, you did great!! I have done just a little FMQ on my DSM, too and seem to find that the leaves are very easy to start off with. Kudos to you for giving it a whirl. I am ready to start a medium size quilt with FMQ...wish me luck. It will be a challenge. Going to get hubby to help me with the spray basting on the garage floor and a big king-size sheet put done first to catch any overspray. Thanks for sharing your first efforts with us.
