When I was a little girl my dad was a country singer and did shows all over the place. Alot in Tulsa Oklahoma. And at nite while we were trying to sleep he would walk around the living room playing his guitar and practicing different songs. And one of my favorite songs he did was "OKLAHOMA HILLS". I made this quilt for him as a memory to those times. In the bottom of this guitar you can see where I took a picture of their land behind their house. I thought it was fitting since it is their home, it is in Oklahoma and the land rolls like hills. lol I also digitized the two pics of him on the quilt, one of him as the young singer he was. And one of him currently. He LOVES the wall quilt. It has a permanent home on the wall in his den.lol

What a lovely tribute to your Dad. Very creative wall hanging, I am sure it means a great deal to him. Thanks for sharing.

I think that is one of the main reasons we quilt - you can't buy something that meaningful for a special person. Excellent job.
