Bravo. It is beautiful! I've heard of string quilts, but this wasn't one of those scrap ones, was it? Was the fabric purposely cut for this quilt?

colors purposely chosen - some she shopped in my stash (can you imagine?) and some she bought.

Fantastic! Gives me an idea for another donation quilt.... I've made lots of "unplanned" string quilts, but this one is just striking, thanks for sharing the picture!
