    Dee's Quilt

This is a quilt that I made for my friend Shelly's Mum for Christmas. Her Mum came to visit last summer, and I met her and took a real shine to her. So I decided to make this for her as a surprise. Shelly mailed it to her in Cape Breton. On Christmas morning, Dee called me in tears - she was so thrilled. Made my year.

Here it is on my design wall, before quilting.

Closer up, still on the design wall.

Quilted and hanging over my banister (because I was alone when I finished it and had nobody to hold it up for me).

Closer up, hanging on my banister. Thanks for looking!

It is such a great feeling to give a gift of love such as a quilt and know that it is appreciated. It is very pretty

This is what it's all about. So nice of you to do this for her. Very pretty. I also probably would have cried. BrendaK

It makes a statement on the wall. What a nice quilt. The pattern is calming some how.
