Default 1st Mini Bow Tuck and a special thanks to Zhillslady

This was my first Mini Bow Tuck done in batiks- still looking for a button. With help from Zhillslady, I persevered through the pattern instructions- I thought there should have been more diagrams. My seam ripper and I really got to know each other. Almost done with the second one done as a Mardi Gras gift and off it will go in tomorrow's mail. The second time around was much easier and I am on a roll. The third one (animal print) is already cut out, too.

I love this purse, I have seen it on this forum before and would love to make one.

Love your fabrics. Glad you were able to wade through the instructions -- I have read through them and agree that we need a bit more detail. Good job!!

I have always loved the bow-tucks I see on this site, but, I am inclined more toward purses that I can sling across my chest so I am hands free. Would this pattern lend itself to that type of strap treatment? I have not seen one in person as yet. Not even sure where to find the pattern. Also, does it close or is the top open?

Thank you for sharing - I love your color choices. One of these days I will have to make one.
