This is the D9p I just finished using a tutorial by "Tippy" on this website. It is 39.5 x 51 inches. I used 4-1/2 inch squares for the 9-patch block. Instead of sewing each cut 9-patch block back together in a new arrangement, I laid out all the pieces of the quilt before sewing them together. This allowed me to rearrange some of the pieces so the ones with white in them were evenly distributed. I then used flower pins to number each of the 6 pieces in a row and sewed them together.

I am also attaching a picture of how I use pieces of poster board to lay out blocks before sewing them so I can easily move them to the sewing machine.

I wrote out directions for how I made this quilt for my own use. I don't know where this pattern originated. Is it copyrighted by someone? If not, I could post what I have written.

I really like your colors and the way secondary patterns appear. Really nice.

That's what I found out doing my first D9p, there is more than one way to place the blocks. I really like your colors.
