All my hard work paid off, my quilt won a second place ribbon!!! What a wonderful surprise that was, since it was a simple pattern and my very first entry in a show I never imagined that I would win anything at all.. Now I am inspired to get my DWR finished and ready for the 2013 show but I will NOT be waiting so long to get it done and quilted next year. I should be getting my judges comments in a week or so, I'm anxious to read their comments but I know some of them already anyhow. I had some shadowing on light areas from dark areas, I also used a grey thread to piece because I so want white stitching showing on the black areas so I tried for a happy medium. The seam line shadowed in a few places due to my zealous pressing. I still am so excited about the win I could dance a jig.
Also was asked Friday to teach Beginner and Advanced quilting at our Adult Ed programs for this fall and next spring so that will be fun. Now to whip up a couple of class samples..
Thanks so much for all the kind words about my quilt!

I am amazed how different D9P look as the fabrics are varied. This is beautiful and the quilting looks great also. You might just win a prize.
