My Mother hand embroidered these in the 50's. I put them together in a quilt for her. I machine embroidered each child on the day of the week they were born

One of the reasons we quilt, to make something that could never be bought at a store - you did a great job!

What a wonderful idea. I love the idea of using moms dish towels and adding the names. What a wonderful memory quilt.

These embroidery patterns brought back memories. I did these same designs on potholders back in the late '60s. My mom had an extensive pattern stash. Mom never used them and recently gave them back to me.
What a great way to use your mom's embroidery. I bet she loves it.

I love your wonderful tea towel quilt, the embroidery is so charming and the fabrics you chose are very complimentary. A great way to preserve your Mom's handiwork.
