I've done some homework, but I haven't come upon this exact pattern. DO you know which star it is?

Hmmm, it looks like a variation of the Friendship Star. It's close, but the half of the star point with the quarter square is different than a regular friendship. Wish I knew. It's pretty.

Friendship Star - I think I saw it called Hunters Star one time, too.

It looks like a Double Friendship Star -- here is a link for the pattern..

Well there ya go! Thanks Barb. I tried all kinds of friendship variation in my search but that one didn't come up, or I didn't look far enough. Leave it to quilterscache!!! I adore that site. :)
