Unhappy Does this need another border?

I started out to do the "3 hour quilt"; and I evidently can't cut straight, so had to square up blocks to 8 inches from what was supposed to be 10 inch blocks. I still kind of like the effect, I have a little of the jungle print to make a 1 inch border and then add another blue border. This is for a little girl, but mom likes monkeys and blue, so there you go.

I think the two borders you mentioned would be great. Cute quilt.

It looks cute the way you have it in your picture. If you want to add additional borders, go for it

Cute fabric! I like the way you've done it. Cute "fur baby" too!

either way it would look cute! you said it was for a girl? maybe you can pick up the lavender in the blocks or the hot pink butterflies in a border? or use more monkey fabric i think its really cute and you did a good job on it!

I think it looks good the way it is. I would be concerned that just a small border of the monkey fabric wouldn't be enough to show the fabric as a border piece. I would use the left over jungle fabric as a big piece on the backing fabric.

I'm with Bluelady...regarding the jungle print for a small border. Maybe use one of the other colours, lavender, pink, orange, then blue, then bind in the same colour used for the small border. Then you can use the leftover jungle print as part of the backing. I think you've done a great job....so really no matter what you choose it will work.
