It's like it was made to go there!! :) Could you get a pane of UV protect glass to go behind it? It won't stop the sun from shining through it, but will help protect it a little longer. Maybe?

Its art whether its a quilt or not. I call it painting with fabric :) and I bet it looks very nice when the sun is behind it.

i have some plexiglass we got from home depot to put over youngest dd's desk...her crafts were tough on the paint!

it is only 1/8" and has uv protection in it...cuts on table saw, or hd can cut it for you.. it would be lighter & non breakable unlike glass...

Absolutely beautiful but I had this same concern. I wonder if there's some kind of fixing product that could be sprayed on? :D
I'm sure it will fade but since I used acrylic paint to 'dye' the background fabric, it seems to be holding up pretty well. When the sun makes it start to disintegrate it, I'll just make another!
