Long story short, just had bright white fabric, dyed it w/tea, ate up more time( this was just going to be a quick one)machine kept breaking thread, fixed it, while ironing burnt my fingers! Owww! TIP: prepared mustard(yellow) will take the heat & pain out. Finally get to quilting, going for SID for center, meander for border, machine would not meander checked it out top to bottom, still nada :( .It was sewing a perfect straight so decided to sew diamond pattern. It went so so :) Then the binding, was going to try Sharon Schamber techn. glue was dried out   was not going to drive 25 min. to get any, so used a glue stick, it did alright. Anyway just had to rant! Its finished in time for party today!yeah! Do ya'll have days like that where nothing goes right, where you would like to go to bed and start over. Oh well.My two youngest sons had a spell over the doll and want boy dolls with overalls and boy quilts to match. Hmm... Christmas?

That is just too cute. Sorry your day went badly. Yes, there are days like that. But, when the end result is that nice, it is worth it.

All your trouble was worth it, it's a great quilt. Love the prairie points!

What a great gift! Interesting doll hair...is it a fabric piece sewn to the head and cut into strips? Is that your own pattern? I sew dolls as well which is why I am prodding.

Those prairie points are tiny - it's a strip, right, not individual?

Too cute!

I made my daughter dolls but never a matching quilt. She did have a doll with a cloth cradle that her grandmother made her, it was very cute, or tute as my son would say.

That is so cute. Yes I have had days like that. I usually have to step away from the machine so I don't do something naughty to it.
