I would do something very simple like crosshatches or just V's to echo the triangles simple but lovely.. if you want something "fancier" you might try a little sprig of leaves to echo the leaves in the borders.

Wow.. that is a very pretty quilt... big sister too!! I'm sorry but I don't know how to advise on quilting, but will be watching the posts to see what others suggest. Your quilts are exceptional! Have fun on your trip, too!!
