Default From Don-isewman--Another quilt top done, today

1st off-THANK YOU--THANK YOU--NELLIE DIAZ...She sent me the set of templates for this quilt top. She had a EXTRA set, she gave me...I finished another quilt top today. Its a double wedding ring. This quilt top is 1 that was on the spurge of wanting to make a quilt. I had lot's of 2 3/8'' sq's. Why they were cut that size, I dont have any ideal. So after Nellie, sent me the template set, I started cutting out the pieces sometime last month...I'm going ASK FOR SOME HELP. I want this quilt to be squared up. I want a straight edge all the way around. On the straight edge around, I want to take what 2 3/8" sq's I have left, and sew them around the straight edge. And then sew a strip around the sq's.This is the finished quilt top. The corner of the quilt. Like I said earlier, I want too, somehow, square up all of the rounded edges. Just another picture, I took. TAKE CARE, EVERYONE. Don-isewman

I have 2 of these and I bound it with bias cut binding. It was kind of hard, but I did it, because my Mother-In-Law made the top and she didn't want me to square it up. She is gone now, and I didn't square it up. I love yours. And yours is perfection.

I find the scalloped border on Double Wedding Ring one of it's best features. If you think the bias binding will be a pain, do a facing border. Lovely top!

Don -- WOW! That's so perfectly pieced. Great way to use odd-sized squares. Your work is always inspiring.

Oh Don. That's fantastic! If you can manage to keep the scalloped border it would really be great. That's one of the special things about a DWR.

Beautiful DWR! I like the scalloped edges, too, but I've never made one. Yours is wonderful!
