oh this exhausted me beyond belief at times!! because of #1piecemaker and her 'challenges' i decided last march i would try to hand piece and quilt. this is the second quilt that i have made by hand. the only machine stitching on this is around the applique. rome wasn't built in a day ladies! hand applique? nope, not me, not yet! this was pieced by hand, quilted by hand, bound by hand, and it is for our pastor's daughter to give to her this sunday. every time she comes she wants to steal the other one i have on the couch, so i thought i would give her one of her own. thanks for looking; don't look too closely, i am no where NEAR good at this....YET! it's back to the drawing board; i am furiously trying to finish christmas gifts now that should have been done a long time ago! would i ever do this again? you BET!

All by hand and ONLY 6 months!?!?! Wow. It takes me years to handquilt a machine pieced quilt. I've never done one all by hand, peicing and quilting. I mix em up alot, hand applique, machine pieced and quilted, machine pieced and hand quilted but not all by hand. Good for you! Be careful when you finally try hand applique. It is addicting as get out!

Beautiful quilt. Since I learned to machine quilt that is all I do and have never looked back. I am trying to use some of my many, many yards of stash and I can make so many more quilts with the machine.
