Default Judy Niemeyer - Bali Wedding Star Scallops Quilting

I was working on sewing some of this quilt together today, when it occurred to me that I really didn't know how to load this on my long arm. Then I realized, DUH, I float all my tops. The problem will be just to make sure I keep the edges even. I'll probably run a basting stitch along the arcs. I have already stay stitched all the outsides of the arcs so they will stay in shape while I am finishing up the sewing.

This is my first paper pieced quilt project and I have learned so much. This has taught me better than anything how to sew a consistent quarter inch seam. Accuracy is everything when sewing all these parts and pieces together. I am hooked on paper piecing for the rest of my life. Hope you enjoy my partially finished quilt. FYI... It is 7 arcs by 8. It is the largest quilt I have sewn.
