I made this quilt in honor of my paternal grandmother, who was proud of her Irish heritage. It is done all in shamrock fabrics, and solid green for the center chain blocks. The quilting is all shamrocks too, with a shamrock in each of the solid green blocks. Somewhere in the quilt is a single four-leaf clover. I gave the quilt to my aunt, who always reminds me that she is my "only blood aunt". She was recently diagnosed with Alzheimers, and has promised that the quilt will come back to me "when she is done with it". I hope I never get it back.

That's just beautiful!

I hope you don't get it back for a very long time. :-)

Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. The green set next to the white makes it look so fresh & crisp, is that Prairie Points around the edge. Still have to have a bash at those.
Hope the quilt stays with your Aunt

It's beautiful. And I love that you made it with so much Love and thought in it. I hope she finds that 4-leaf clover and it bring her Luck and good health!

Stunning gaigai,
Shamrock fabrics galore - how lovely. I am sure your Aunt will treasure it for a long time. If she has been diagnosed early, I understand that medication can delay problems a good while.

Beautiful Gai! I love the idea of a four leaved clover among the quilting for luck: I too hope you never get it back!
