i threw this together using the blocks left over from The FWIP Named Ralph.

i used cotton fabric to back it so he qualifies as a Downy Quilt for Kids.

Great quilt-love the colors. I really like the scallopped (sp?) borders; are they hard to do? That's another thing on my list of things to try.

thanks, all, for your kinds words. :-)

i used a wavy ruler to make the borders. i didn't use binding. i cut two layers of each border and turned it right-sides out after sewing around the edges. on the back i just turned under the straight edges and basted them down. when i deco-stitched the top, it fastened the back of the border at the same time.

Love it! The Downy project is such a good one-glad you chose that charity to give your quilt to, i know the kids will love it!!
