Hi, I literally just finished this quilt - I brought it to work to finish some handwork (and whom among us doesn't do that, right?!). It's a Monkey Wrench pattern for my first grandbaby, Drake, he's due to make his appearance the end of May.

The back is minkee, and there is no batting - I did a knife edge border.

lovely. does the pattern mean that you expect him to be a little 'monkey'?

Yes, Drake is a boy and their decor is blue and brown and monkeys, which is why I chose the monkey wrench pattern. It's the first miniature patchwork I made and don't like working with little pieces. And yes, Drake is my first grandchild.

I have 2 more quilts to make - using the fabric books you can make, but I'm using the pages as quilt blocks. One is Jungle Babies from JoAnn's and the other one has a lot of bright primary colors and are Mother Goose nursery rhymes. I bought these two before I knew if they were going to have a boy critter or a girl critter. Hoping for a girl critter next time.....
