Oh my gosh..I love it!!!...I am in process of making a black/white Dresden. I am machine piecing, but will hand quilt..have to find a design or template for my hand quilting. I love your 30's fabric...this is a true inspiration for me. I am on numer 22 of the plates...then they will be hand stitched to the white 14 inch squares. I do not know if I will put black sashing between squares or not. I will draw it out and see what it will look like.

I think your quilt turned out great. My husband's grandmother made quilts that looks a lot like the fabrics you used. She made the quilts in the late 70s. I have one she made (over all Sam) for my husband. She has sense passed on, we still love the quilt. She always quilted the quilt on her old peddle-type sewing machine. She lived in West Virginia, and she came to Virginia and sold her quilts for $60.00 each in the late 70's. That was way back when the fabric was 50 cents per yard. She was the one that got me wanting to try quilting, because she made such beautiful quilts.

Beautiful! Don't you love those repo fabrics! I have some mini dresdens made up in repo and need to get those into a quilt - hope it turns out as well as yours

Very pretty, like the idea of using a jelly roll to make your boarder
