Default McKenna Ryan's al Fresco

I have "a couple" McKenna Ryan laser cut quilts just waiting for me but have been intimidated by her raw edge applique. I love applique and usually do a blanket stitch edge along with Heat 'n' Bond Lite to adhere, but her straight line stitching on all those tiny pieces scared me. So.....I purchased her Row-by-row, did it and again it sat. Finally I decided to go even smaller and purchased al Fresco for the guest room. My progress in FMQing over the last couple years, and the smaller project, finally gave me the confidence to move forward. Here is al Fresco, by McKenna Ryan, stretched on a canvas frame and ready to hang. (Also did the Sea Turtles by Toni Whitney the same way, a post yesterday)
I'm off and running........well quilting, I don't run anymore LOL

I like that; and I'm with you - I don't run either.

You are inspiring me to get out my McKenna Ryan Beachwalk quilt and finish.

That's so sweet! I'm new to her work/style...but I like the looks of it very much! Well done!

I long for a bicycle ride on a two wheeler with a basket full of flowers like you show here. Your quilt certainly evokes the beauty of a summer day and the pleasure of a bicycle ride in the sun.
