The windows are fairly high - maybe it's so the children (when it was a school room) couldn't waste time gazing out! So when I'm sitting, I can only see the sky. One window, above my desk, looks out over my neighbour's garden (a view slightly marred by his oil tank!) and the other looks onto my little inner courtyard. The wall you can see in the photo is actually my kitchen, the house is a 'U' shape with the courtyard in between. :D

I swear...I really do think my fabric multiplied like rabbits on the trip over here. EVERYTHING that I had fabric in on Guam is full again and I still have fabric that needs to be put awaly I only bought maybe 10 yards total of fabric since I got back to the states.
Oh, I've got PLENTY of room for Asian prints T! My address is ........

You ONLY bought 10 yards? What remarkable restraint!

Absolutely I don't mind at all! That's partly the reason I posted all the pics. Also, I admit, to show off a bit!
Enjoy the new room...I am very jelous...Where are you going to use your lovely door cover from the old house?
Ha ha! Did you spot that in the bag under my desk, Susie? The problem is that the ceilings in France were extra high and here they're quite low as the main house is a cottage. Hans (DH) is just over 6' and only just misses his head. I told him he can never wear his high heels indoors! So the curtain won't fit the front door here, unless I cut a few feet off it and that would be a shame! We might hang it in the school room across the door into the living room as the ceiling is higher here, but we haven't got round to measuring up yet. As I used the Thermore wadding, it wouldn't really work as a bed quilt. :-D

Hey Terri and Joanne - CT (Connecticut right?) and VA (Virginia? - not bad for a Limey!) are the same side of the country aren't they? Although I know that in the States that can mean they're several days' drive apart! Maybe I'll do a road trip one of these here days!

Her cutting table is two Ikea tables put back to back. You can find them online at Ikea and do a search for Norden Occasional Table. You just add your own bins. It comes out to be 32" deep, 72" wide and 36" high.
I have a feeling that Ikea are going to be having to order some more of those in!

BTW the plastic bins on the top shelves also came from Ikea (although sold separately) and 5 fit perfectly on each shelf. You can adjust the height of the top shelf to accomodate different heights of bin if you like, but I like the combination of small ones for scraps, strings etc and larger ones for yardage and FQs. The others I got in a shop locally but I think those tubs are widely available. :-D

The bars where my quilts hang are also Ikea - called Bygel and they were £2 each! Which I think is around $2.50. The trouser hangers are called Bumerang (don't try to throw them though, doesn't work! LOL) and they were 49p each, but I think Ikea in the States is cheaper still. My little drawer on wheels is called Micke and was around £40. The two small drawers are the perfect height for thread to stand there. Hans is going to make me something with little dowels to lay in there to stand them on so they don't fall over. And no I DON'T work for Ikea! Should do though, then I'd get staff discount! LOL!

Thanks Maksi! And you're so lucky because Ikea in Holland is cheaper than either France or here! Not as cheap as the States though! Plus your krentenbollen are nicer than our currant buns! I make Hans bring me them home!
