Oh my goodness - this cottage is even more charming than the one in France. I don't see a garage, but I do see a gargoyle.

Can't wait to see that wisteria in bloom. You're soooo lucky to have found this beautiful home.

I have wisteria in the BACK of my house - so it won't help you find my house as you and Terri drive around CT. For the first few years we were in CT, I thought it was a weed, and I kept trying to pull it out - even cut it level with the ground. Then I started grad school, and between that and taxi-ing kids around town, I had no more time for gardening. The weed bloomed! Then DH made a trellis, and now it frames the kitchen windows. Years ago, birds nested in it - that ended the year DD & family were in the house with a cat. Birds have long memories.

The cork was already installed, all we did was give it a couple of fresh coats of clear, matt varnish and I have to say, it's ideal - warm and soft on my barefoot (I always hop around in one shoe, right foot bare for the foot pedal!) and easy to clean. I got one of those swiffy duster on a stick things, like at the hairdressers, a friend said and a quick flick round with that picks up all the threads and scraps. :-D

On site tours by appointment, all welcome, Pimms served in the garden afterwards. ;) Oh, don't know if you have Pimms in the States, it's a classic English summer drink, a kind of punch with fruit in it, and it's deceptively strong so we'll all be giggly in no time! )
So, for those of us in the states....can you post a recipe for Pimms, please?

The garage is out of shot - well spotted! I just bought the gargoyle the other day, the children call him Gaston in honour of our time in France. The back garden is a WIP Joyce, I'll show it when I've whipped it into a bit more shape. Oh OK one pic then...

Mom says we'll keep Mr. Rooster and bring him over to you personally! LOL Sounds good to me. Of course, it's gonna be a while, since I'm just starting a new job, but what the heck.

Well, I think you're "whipping" it into shape very nicely already!! Besides, if it's as hot there as it is here, you don't need to be outside working too much -- but I think it's beautiful!!
