sandpat--I'm working on that NOW!!!! How funny is that??? I was working on that Circle of Stars idea and was playing in EQ6--going through lesson 4 to learn more about Custom designs (after working for hours BEFORE reading the lesson  ) I discovered the quilting motifs just 15 minutes ago! Great minds, eh?? Although, I'm not sure you'd want your mind to be where mine is.

  Yup...great minds and all that...I was headed that was (to EQ) to work on something I thought of for my Feb. doll quilt. Hope it works out easily enough, we'll see!

Good luck with your design, can't wait to see.

It's begun....
I can already see I'll spend waaaay too much time turning squares to make a final decision. I've turned five already just sitting at the table eating pb+j on Saltines....

(I'm taking a tiny break from the horse heads to get this started.)

They will be 5" finished.

Wow...its amazing how much the EQ design looks like the real thing. I can see you sitting there turning and turning those blocks though.... I'm liking how it is coming together!

Thanks, sandpat. I read the booklet on how to best make the squares, but I do them almost the opposite from the directions. After making them all for "Kayak on the Lake" it's a habit that won't change. I like how they come out better my way. My quilter said the centers weren't hard to quilt over at all. Thank goodness, because I'll have to quilt this one. Ugh.

I'm trying to make the squares for two at the same time. Otherwise there's a great chance I may get distracted by another project before ever finishing the second one.

Good thought...I have about 4 projects going on at once right now. I work on different ones depending on which room I'm in..
