Estate Find

Nice find, for a good price!! Mine is a 1946 in the same Singer #40 Queen Anne cabinet. (There are two Singer cabinets with the #40, the "bent" legs make it the Queen Anne style)
You're going to enjoy that machine a LOT!

Sure looks like it is in good shape to me. I have two featherweights that really need a good cleaning, they both run great and right now that is all I care about. When the weather gets nasty I will tackle cleaning them.

Muv has at least 9 outstanding videos videos about cleaning and oiling your vintage sewing machine. While your machine will probably not look like that, the principles for cleaning are the same. Join us on the Vintage Sewing Machine Shop.
