What a surprise to find Esther on this forum. How fun to see her done in your version of fabrics. You did a wonderful job. I love the chicken wire background.

Esther is absolutely darling!!! I printed out the pattern and am going to make her. She's a hoot. Did you use monofilament thread to applique? Or did you do needle turn applique?

I needle turned the applique. Because I did not want to break up the chicken wire fabric I quilted the background with monofilament and veered from the basket assembly in that I pieced the basket as an applique and then applied it as one whole pice onto the wire background.
