Here is an example of a wall hanging using some of my great aunts hankerchiefs. She passed away in 2001 and had lived with my grandmother for 30 some odd years. She was more like a daughter to my grandmother than a sister. Here is my grandma holding the wall hanging.

That is the coolest thing :!: I LOVE it! I have a bunch of my Granny's hankies that I would like to do for my mom. I have seen where they cut them and do a crazy style-mom was not to sure about that-I think this will be the solution. Hope you don't mind if I "steal" your idea someday. :D

I do not mind at all :) I liked this because I didn't have to cut up the hankies or anything. I could just sew them as they were.

What a special memory for you and your grandma. I bet each one has a special story or memory attached. Nice job on the workmanship!

Very clever! I collect old hankies. They were so pretty. You did a wonderful job preserving them. Welcome to the quilting world!

Brilliant idea Henry...Ive got a drawer full of them but no-one ever uses them any more. My Mum would never let us out of the door without a clean hankie!!

Chele thank you so much. I have more of them somewhere in the clutter that is my home. I plan on making another one.
