Great job! I love your dress! I used to make most of my clothes and my kids clothes before I started quilting. Now, when I try to sew a 5/8 inch seam, I have a hard time with it because I'm used to 1/4 inch.

Good for you. But I'd have bet that every one of us started using a sewing machine by sewing clothes. Mom sewed our clothes when I was a kid and each of us girls started sewing as soon as we could use scissors, and pins and the treadle sewing machine---making our own clothes. Just assumed that was the natural progression for everyone.
