Thank you for the kind words. It ended up being an oversized queen so it could be used as a comforter and I made pillow shams to match. Found the batik print at wal mart sure wish I could find some more. I loved it so much. I bought all they had and on the last two blocks had to piece together some scrapes for the second round of batik but I made it with barely a thread to spare.

Thanks for all the good words. Yes I hand quilted it in the ditch. It was for my dil and she loved the batik pattern. I bought all that walmart had and the last two blocks had to piece together some to make the strips. I always piece mine on the machine and then hand quilt. I only have an inexpensive Brother machine and it really doesn't work to well for machine quiltng. Besides I love the peacefulness of sitting and hand quilting.

Have only been quilting about 8 months. Have made 8 quilts for myself, kids and grandkids.
