I'm still a beginner but thought I'd show my Exploding Star quilt to you anyway. It was done on a machine that's probably as old as I am- while I either had one eye on the TV or was helping my daughter with homework. And that's my excuse for all the crooked seams! :-)
Some of the fabrics were from my aunt and grandmother's stash. I remember Granny wearing blouses out of some of these! Good thing I have more of these crazy fabrics left to make another quilt because I learned alot doing this one! (although I'll have to save up to buy some light fabrics- I have NONE) I have a big chunk of a dark green that I might use for a border. I'm having a tough time deciding on how to finish.
