Default Eye popping, knock your socks off bright

My DD and I made this round robin quilt last fall from "Blocks, Borders, Quilts". I had the multi-colored fabric in my stash (I'd bought it because I liked it--had no idea what I'd ever use if for) and purchased the tonal colors for the stars. I wanted this to be bright and fun so used black to make the colors pop.
I had other fabric for the backing, but found this cheater cloth on sale. It was perfect . I used variegated thread to outline quilt the stars and quilted stars in the black corners. You can't see them well in the picture. I used decorative stitches in the black border between the stars and the outside border and on the binding. I didn't think think I'd ever finish stitching the binding it was taking so long. I hate doing the binding and just want it to go quick so I'm finished.

That is a wonderful quilt, it looks like a two side quilt to me. I just love your bright and cheerful colors. Thanks for sharing it with us.

I have some bright, crazy fabric that I bought some time ago. Of course, I had no idea what to do with it. You've inspired me and given me an idea or two. Thanks so much for sharing your bright, happy quilt!
