Wow.. you really hit the jackpot.. I wish they had fabric at the sales around here.. went to one about a year ago, and picked up a couple of things.. The woman had past away in her 50's.. The husband was having a hard time parting with the stuff.. She was a hoarder.. His new girlfriend didn't sew.. Otherwise I haven't found anyhing..

I have had several successful finds either in garage or CL sales so I am finally posting some pics. The first two pics are from an estate sale for a total of 32 yards of cotton (the tropical fish is a vintage Hoffman print) and 4 yards of maybe cotton blend (doing burn test later when it is not so hot outside). I asked the daughter, "How much is this amount of fabric?" and she said, "Five bucks or make an offer- we just want it out of here. But one question, are you actually going to sew it or store it like my mom did?" I said, "Sew it". Handed her five and smiled. The third is a pic of a box of FQs including 41 Amy Butler Gypsy Caravan FQs that I got from a quilter who said she needed to trim her hoard-her words. They were 10 for a $1 so I bought a bunch- HAHA! I did buy other yardage and a kit from her but it is already put in the stash. But washing, drying, pressing, folding and storing them takes a lot of time. So off to sew now as I promised.
Close your eyes! I'm going to go shopping in the FQ box!

If you want to burn test or iron. Outside for a bit in the evening doesn't heat up the house. I don't find it as hard as waiting till cooler and keeps me on project.
