This is a pattern by Anne Urein offered by Superior Threads. I added outside pockets for my keys, cell and glasses. It is huge inside which is perfect for me since I carry half my life in my purse. The bottom of the bag has the Texture Magic added. It is a fun technique. The Texture Magic is kind of pricey so to make a little go a long way is the secret (I think).

That's adorable! Love all the pockets. Is the texture magic hard to work with?

The Texture Magic is easy, easy, easy. You cut your fabric to accommodate a 30% shrinkage....a chart is included in the TM. Then you lay it on top of the back of the fabric and sew grid or meander or whatever your heart desires and then hold a steam iron "over"....not touching....and watch it shrink. An interesting pattern then develops. You cut it then to the pattern shape and you are good to go!

Did you use the texture magic for the base only? I bought some but haven't tried it yet. I too want a tote with plenty of outside pockets (as well as inside pockets). Yours is very pretty!

I did use the TM for the base only. Pockets are so easy to construct and easy to add. Once you've done them for one purse, it's the same technique for all..... :)
