The pattern is from the book "Tessellations" by Jackie Robinson It's a neat book, all the patterns tessellate - meaning the edges of each design form the edges of it's neighboring design. The design process was developed by M.C. Escher.

Can't let my DH see this one!! He LOVES oranges and rusty colors and batiks as well. That is truly a beautiful quilt that I will have to add to my 'want to do someday' list.
