I started working on tis a couple of months ago, and had to lay it aside to work on IRRs and swaps.I love star blocks, and have never made a sampler, so decided to do one with stars only. Here is what I have done so far.

Ninnie, I love stars also. You should look for the pattern of Boxy Stars. It is scrappy and so fun to do.. when you get the boxy part done you will see the stars. I hand quilted mine and I love it. If you can not find the pattern, pm me and I will find my pattern that I downloaded from the internet..
