I met Karen and took classes from her at the Home Machine Quilters Show in Salt Lake City a couple of years ago. She is so smart and funny and like you said, someone that you would have wanted to be friends with in high school. Hell, I want to friends with her now. She is so very talented and her classes are excellent. If you ever get the chance to take a class from her, do your best to make it happen.

Seriously, the person who was gifted the quilt didn't like the border? Now that's just silly. Glad she kept it. Thanks for sharing.

I agree whole heartedly. no wonder she kept it.
also agree !- all her work is beautiful , but i was really admiring that border. I didn't even see the remark above the picture until I read responses further down and then I thought WHAT!!!!
