Default Farmers Wife-Quilted by Harriet

Just took this magnificent Farmers Wife quilt off the frame. There are 111 blocks. The quilt is 82x102. It took four days to quilt. Isacord thread top and bobbin, Hobbs 80/20 batting. All freehand quilted! Enjoy!

That is a beautiful quilt , such wonderful work by you and the piecer. You added just the right touch to each block.

I tried to put something different in each block. That was taxing on my brain!!

I love that you quilted each block differently. I bet it was hard coming up with a different design for each, but it looks gorgeous.

I like that the piecer sashed each block. Many of the Farmer's Wives quilt I've seen do not have sashing and the individual blocks get lost. You can really see them in this quilt.
