I posted a thread earlier asking others what do you Put in your fat quarter bag. There were so many uses for these large bags. Mine will be used for Spend the night with Grandma bag to fill with toys, blanket and clothes.
Here is the thread you can find the pattern and many uses for what to put in the FQ bag:

I have a lot of fabric I don't want anymore so I'm making these bags. Foster kids need a big bag that is easy to carry and really more useful then a quilt to them.
The boys prefer the thick cotton rope for handles.

Good for you! It makes me happy to know you're doing that. Especially thinking of boys, too. That's wonderful and sew are you!

Thank you for the kind words. I had some disheartening news this morning and feeling low. Nothing tragic but will have a low cloud over me and my husband for a spell. I will count my blessings and quilt more and not dwell on the whys.

I found some denim fabric in my stash so made two bags from it with white rope handles. They will last a long time for the older boys.

Denim! What a great idea! The pics are inspiring me to make another one from my denim stash!
