Default Feather border done

Feather border is done but now what? Should I just trim an inch off all the way around or sew a scallop echo to fill in the space before the binding?

Tartan, that's gorgeous! I like the idea of the scallop. The space looks like it needs a little something.
Do you quilt on your domestic ? if so it's impressive!

Really nice! I like the scallop idea but would echo it 2 or 3 times to fill some space.

I love it just like it is. Wish I could do that. Anything else would take away from your beautiful feathers.

I would echo the feathers and then bind.

I agree with Sandrab64. I love the scallop idea and it would need to echo several times to fill in in all the way. Beautiful feathering.

I love your feathering! Did you use a stencil or free hand? How large is the quilt? I can't wait to see the whole quilt! About the edge. Trim it if you don't need the larger size . If you do I wouldn't over stitch it with echoes or scallops, just perhaps one row of stitching. But that's just MHO and it is your quilt. Do what feels right to you. It will be lovely whatever you decide. Merry Christmas!

Gorgeous feather quilting. I vote for a scalloped edge but do whatever you really like and feel comfortable doing. Thank you for sharing some of your beautiful work
