You know I've been bothered by how do I give this, what do I say? Hey heres a quilt because your dying. When I started making it I thought she would pull through with the chemo and it could be something she could take with her during the procedure. You'll never really get to enjoy this but here. Theres a part of me that feels guilty and afraid to give it to her. I'm so sick of cancer, its the third one in a year in our circle.

It's a beautiful quilt! Dresdens are one of my favourites.
Maybe you could say something like....."when I saw this pattern, I just had to whip it up. And the more I quilted this, the more I thought of you, so I would like you to have this"
