Default Feeling cheap and getting creative.

I have been trying to branch out from patterns and try to make my own quilts, but also feeling too stingy to try this with good fabric so I bought men's shirts at a thrift store.
Becuase it was only 30 bucks of fabric I also had some fun FMQ on my DM.

I love it!! Good for you for trying something different. That's a great idea to use shirts from a thrift store to try something new!

Wow! I really like your quilt. You did indeed create a wonderful pattern. I especially like your border treatment as it is a perfect complement to the unique squares. Did you have a creative idea in mind when you went shopping in the thrift store or did you just go buy some shirts that appealed to you and then come up with the design? By the way, your FMQ is very nice. I think you are an encourager to others to reach out to new goals in quilting-no matter the budget level. Thanks for sharing with us.

You did a fine job as well as demonstrating that not all good quilts are expensive to make.
