You deserve every one of those ribbons. Your quilts are gorgeous. Tell me, did you do all of that in the past year or two? You are certainly busy. What is the name of the applique pattern in the 1st picture that you are standing next to? Your colors are just beautiful. Congrats again

It is funny you should ask if I did them in the last year. the civil war sampler is a customer quilt I did for a gal in Arkansas; the others are all mine. The jacket I just did in two weeks becasue I used my Bernina to do the quilting and it is fully lined with sateen fabric. The green and white one quilt is a ufo that I just finished up November or so of last year in my quest of 120 UFO finishes. The pink bargello I did in February for a quilting class I teach. The wholecloth was just finished in the beginning of September. We had to draw the design ourselves and quilt it. I drew the design out, changed it, was going to give up, but said I would do to support our quilt challenge our group has so quilted it on a Friday pm, did the binding even when quilt was wet (not easy I might add with batik fabric) and turned it in Saturday morning. It was still damp, but was done, including the hanging sleeve. The applique quilt was started about 9 years ago as well, gave up on doing the rings and left it all cut up and no where to go but storage. Well, with my quest to finish the UFOs, I dug it out. I did some quilting for Whigrose and she said she would do some applique for me and we traded services. I went shopping in April on my way to my brother's wedding in Montana and each shop had a variety of purples, blues, and greens. Bought a quarter yard each and sent it all to her. She did the applique part and then I did the rest. Used Lisa Calle's quilting ruler to get all my lines and grooves so pretty. That ruler works fantastic. Each one of those quilts has a story. Love them all.

Fantastic work! Congratulations! Question regarding the wholecloth quilts: How was the color added to these quilts...shadow trapunto or fabric paint or other???
