Very nice, but that room is way too clean, get in there and mess it up a little!

Wonderful sewing room - makes ME want to come over and sew. I like the pictures with the flash going off...you can see things.

Oh my goodness.....you have the exact Toyota serger that I bought off Craigs List on Sunday. You're right....it is an old workhorse with metal parts....and that's what I liked about it. Is yours in working order? Did your Aunt show you how to use it? I'm working completely blind here and even though I'm looking at the "quick threading" guide, haven't quite figured it out. And apparently nothing works if you don't get the threading right! Any advice?

I have that serger too! Bought the floor model in 1992 and absolutely love it. I've only had to have it worked on one time, when I hit a pin and it threw the timing off. Other than that, it's been a dream. Everytime I use it I'm fascinated again at how it works. They are so neat.

I also went to see my aunt yesterday. Talk about my lucky day! She gave me a ton of fabric - all togehter at least 30 yards, books, and the best a serger! One of the older heavy duty metal ones. I was suprised when the foot pedal was not plastic!! She is very crafty and although she has 10 kids of her own, none are into sewing at all. I totally lucked out with the hobby!

Here are pictures of my new room - sorry no before pictures - but it was more of an office before, and the things my aunt gave me yesterday.

I love lighting - so some are taken without flash. I also collect elephants so those are what the little lamps on the desk are.
WooHoo!! now the fun can really begin! Have you thought of building a sturdy cutting table a little shorter than the length of the bed and a little wider, so the cutting table legs do not interfere with any part of the bed and headboard?

What a great room. You sure got a lot of fabric from your aunt. I love the serger. It was a great day for you. Thanks for sharing your room with us.
