Default two more purses....one with dogs, one with birds

These are for my sister and her daughter. My mom and daughter went to go visit my sister and she loved the purses I made for them and she wanted one too. The dog one is for my niece(she's such an animal lover).

They both have batting inside to give it body, adjustable straps, zippered pockets, zippered top, and three extra pockets inside. I didn't use a pattern, just make them close to the other ones I made last time. They took me all day to do. Those zippers on the outside were hard to do. I wish I was a little faster at them.

I love them.
on the zippers do you sew a rectangle and then slit it and fold it back. Sewing technique that I learned in high school.
I will not tell you how long ago that was.

I skipped sewing the rectangle and just cut the slit and folded it back. But I did each layer on it's own and tried to make them match. I sewed the zipper on the inside of them so you don't see it at all. Hope I explained that well...lol. I even fused the flaps over so they won't ravel. Maybe sewing the rectangle would have helped.
